THANASIS POLYKANDRIOTIS IN CYPRUS

Thanasis Polykandriotis in Cyprus for a concert and seminars

Thanasis Polykandriotis will be in Cyprus on Wednesday, April 9th to perform works of M. Theodorakis and M. Hadjidakis in concert, as a guest of the Maro Kompou Foundation.

The composer, professor and bouzouki virtuoso, will pass on his theoretical and experiential knowledge to young Cypriot bouzouki players in two seminars and private advanced classes, in the Cultural Event Hall of the Bank of Cyprus (117 Makariou III Ave., Limassol) .

Schedule:
Sunday the 6th and Monday the 7th of April, 16:00 to 19:00  two three-hour seminars about the bouzouki and folk music tradition. Participation is open to musicians, while music lovers are free to attend in the audience.

Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th of April, 10:00 to 15:00 only for bouzouki virtuosi (advanced players). Presentation of special masterful techniques for the instrument. Participation will be accepted on a first come – first served basis.
