Concert dedicated to Stratos Dionysiou with Thanasis Polykandriotis and Angelos & Stelios Dionysiou at the Casino of Rhodes
A unique musical program-tribute to the great Stratos Dionysiou, one of the most important Greek folk singers, will host the Casino of Rhodes on Saturday, August 12, 2017, with the composer-soloist of the bouzouki Thanasis Polykandriotis and his orchestra, and performers the Dionysiou brothers. Songs that were loved, songs that characterized generations and generations, will be presented to the public through the unique and characteristic interpretations of the sons of Stratos Dionysios, with references to the great and important artistic course of their father, but also of the composer himself. Two genuine folk voices that marked the Greek song interpret the compositions of the great bouzouki master, with a band that was a huge success last season. Thanasis Polykandriotis wrote some of the greatest hits of Stratos Dionysiou in the 1980s. Ten years later, he wrote the first album of Angelos Dionysios “Parapono mou”, while other collaborations followed. Then he collaborated with the youngest Stelios Dionysiou with participations in two of his records.
