The well-known artist will be the third guest of the new cultural institution “Meeting with the Creators” inaugurated by the municipality of Pylaia-Chortiatis
The aim is to bring together important artists with the public and the youth of our municipality, but also to honor them.
With first Mimi Plessas, second Dionysis Savvopoulos and now the bouzouki teacher.
The creator will be the protagonist of the event that will take place on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Amphitheater “Stavros Kougioumtzis” of the town hall of Pylaia-Chortiatis.
He will talk about the importance of the bouzouki as a cultural heritage of Greece, he will refer to the recognition given to him by various international organizations, and then he will give a musical performance with orchestral and singing parts, with songs and musical excerpts that were important stations in his career.
Songs such as “Vradiazei” by Stratos Dionysiou, “Ego pote den tragoudo” by Stelios Kazantzidis and “Nacha mi agapi” by Giannis Parios. Through his special orchestral and interpretive look, in texts and narration by journalist-writer Costas Bliatkas and framed by six actors, Thanasis Polykandriotis will bring the bouzouki to the forefront.
“Through this new institution, we want to honor the great artists, our great creators for their work, but also to learn about them. We started with our favorite Mimi Plessas, we continued with Dionysis Savvopoulos and now with Thanasis Polykandriotis the craftsman of the bouzouki “notes the mayor of Pylaia – Chortiatis Ignatios Kaitezidis.
The event will start at 8 pm and will be open to the public.
